Hancock County High School is celebrating a state marching band championship after a standout finish on Saturday, October 31.

The band won Class 1A, giving Western Kentucky students a major achievement to celebrate at the close of the competitive season.

Several nearby programs also brought home strong results.

Owensboro Catholic finished second in Class 1A, while McLean County placed fourth.

In Class 4A, Daviess County earned second place.

The results make this a regional celebration, with four school communities represented among the leading finishers in their respective classes.

Hancock County’s championship production was titled “Time’s Up,” while Owensboro Catholic performed “Between the Pages.”

McLean County’s show was “Art Imitates Life,” and Daviess County performed “Just Add Water.”

For the students, the final performances capped months of preparation.

The recognition also offers families, school staff, and supporters a chance to celebrate the work behind the music and movement.
