Tuesday, November 3, is Election Day, and voters across Western and South-Central Kentucky have until 6 p.m. local time to cast a ballot.

Kentucky polls opened at 6 a.m.; anyone in line at closing time will still be allowed to vote.

Use the local time where you vote, especially if your day takes you across the Central–Eastern time boundary.

Before leaving, confirm your Election Day voting location through the state’s official voter-information service or your county clerk.

An early-voting site should not be assumed to be your Election Day location.

Bring an accepted photo identification, such as a Kentucky driver’s license, and ask your county clerk or a poll worker about the applicable procedures if you have an identification problem.

In Henderson, the city’s H.A.R.T. transit system has announced free rides to polling locations for Election Day.

Confirm the appropriate route and return-trip arrangements with the transit service before setting out.

Elsewhere in the region, check directly with local transportation providers about any voting-day assistance rather than assuming a countywide offer.

For ballot and polling-place questions, use your county clerk and official state election information.

After voting ends, early returns are only part of the count; wait for reliable race calls and distinguish unofficial results from certified totals.
